Kindergarten Curriculum

 

1) Phonics & Reading

This programme has 3 phases (Basic, Intermediate and Advance) and it aims to teach young children to read and spell in the shortest time possible. Each phase lasts for 2-3 months. Normally, children will be able to read more fluently after their Basic Phonics & Reading. They will be able to read independently after their Advance Phonics & Reading. This programme also aims to boost the child's confidence and self-esteem. Children will be more motivated to read after learning the know-how. 

 

Class size: up to 6 students only

Class Frequency: Once per week

Length per class: 1.5 hours

 

2) Primary 1 English and Math Preparation Class

This programme is written for students who are preparing to transit into Primary One next year. It follows closely with the MOE's Primary 1 syllabus and equips children with the essential skills and knowledge for a smooth transition. 

 

Course Syllabus for English:

• Introductory to Basic Phonics

• Storybook Reading

• Grammar

• Vocabulary

• Comprehension MCQ

• Show and Tell

 

Course Syllabus for Mathematics:

• Numbers to 20

• Number bonds

• Shapes

• Ordinal numbers

• Addition / Subtraction

• Money

• Patterns

 

Available classes: 

• Only from October to December (3-month course)

• Weekdays (Minimum 2 to start a class. Parents can form their own groups and we can arrange an available slot that is suitable for your needs)

 

Class size: up to 6 students only

Class Frequency: Twice per week

Length per class: 1.5 hours

 

 

3) Primary 1 Chinese Preparation Class (Subject to availability)

This programme is written for students who are preparing to transit into Primary One next year. It follows closely with the MOE's Primary 1 syllabus and equips children with the essential skills and knowledge for a smooth transition. 

 

Course Syllabus for Chinese:

• Introductory to Hanyu Pinyin

• Storybook Reading

• Writing Exercises

• Character Recognition with Hanyu Pinyin

• Character Recognition without Hanyu Pinyi

 

Available classes: 

• Only from October to December (3-month course)

• Saturday and Sunday 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. / 2.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. 

• Weekdays (Minimum 2 to start a class. Parents can form their own groups and we can arrange an available slot that is suitable for your needs)
